AWAY GUIDE: HULL CITY

OPPOSITION: Hull City

THE KC Stadium was opened on Wednesday December 18th 2002, when the Tigers played Sunderland in a friendly to mark the occasion. The Kingston Communication Stadium cost £43.5m and is home to the football and rugby clubs of the city.

The stadium is totally enclosed and is situated in a parkland setting with a total capacity of 25,400.

TOTAL MILAGE (from Vicarage Road): 200

BY CAR:
Take the M1 up to Junction 32 for the M18 in the direction of Hull. Leave the M18 at Junction 35 for the M62 to Hull. Exit at Junction 38 for the A63 to Hull. Next take the A15 which will become the A1105. Eventually this becomes Anlaby Road. Walton Street is a further half mile down the road.

TOTAL DRIVE TIME: 3 hours 30 minutes.

BY TRAIN:
The walk from Hull Paragon Station is about 15 minutes to the ground. Exit at the south side and turn right. Go along Anlaby Road until you can do another right for Walton Street. Click here for train times and availability - as always you are encouraged to book as early as possible to get the best possible fare.

PARKING: £3 pays for your right to park at the stadium although it can take a while to get out. Parking is also available at Hull Royal Infirmary, it is a longer walk but you won't have to wait as long at the end.

AWAY END: Appropriately 2000 seats are normally handed to away sides in the North Stand.

PROGRAMME COST: £3

RESTAURANTS: Hull city centre has food of all flavours to suit all palates; there are also takeaways outside the ground.

PUBS: You may well be best suited to reserving your drinking for inside the stadium as the pubs around the ground are strictly for home fans.

If you do want to find yourself a welcoming establishment then head into the city centre. The Sandringham has been listed as particularly pleasant as well as pubs and bars around Spring Bank.
