WATFORD U18 3 COVENTRY U18 2

Posted on: Mon 08 Feb 2010

WATFORD'S Academy side hit three past the Sky Blues in an exciting encounter at UCL yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

Two first half goals from Gavin Massey set the pace for the match and the young Hornets secured their home victory with a third goal seconds after the re-start thanks to second year scholar Kurtney Brooks.

Despite a late surge from the visitors with a second half strike from Callum Wilson and a penalty from Jacob Blackwell, the talented youngsters from Hertfordshire kept Coventry at bay and the Sky Blues' comeback was halted.
