WATFORD'S Academy fought back from a goal deficit on Saturday against Leicester City in a close battle in the Midlands.
The young 'Orns faced a Leicester side who had only dropped one point all season, and that was to the Hornets last time they played them back in October when they shared the points from a 2-2 draw in Hertfordshire.
Watford missed a couple of chances to take the lead in the first half, and they were punished as a physical Leicester took advantage leaving the Hornets 1-0 down going into the break.
But the youngsters from Hertfordshire came back fighting and put pressure onto the Foxes throughout the second half.
Watford equalised on 60 minutes thanks to some great build-up play, followed up by a close range effort from Kurtney Brooks.
Brooks' first goal of the season ensured the Hornets took home a point from the meeting.
Boss Mark Warburton said of the encounter: "It was a great exhibition of youth football against a very good Leicester side.
"We were magnificent in the second 45 minutes, and camped out in the Leicester half.
"John Rudkin, their Academy Manager, came and congratulated the boys after the match saying we deserved to win and that was really good of him."
