FOLLOWING the return of Watford's first team squad on Wednesday (1 July), this morning (Friday) was the turn of the next generation to start their pre-season schedule.
Watford's Academy scholars started back this morning and we would like to officially welcome the following 11 players who are starting a two-year scholarship with the Hornets.
Oliver Archer (defender)
Jonathan Bond (goalkeeper)
Greg Dear (midfielder)
Adam Fenwick (defender)
Faisal Hemati (defender)
Jamie Irving (goalkeeper)
Chez Isaac (midfielder)
Gavin Massey (forward)
Jake Rosier (forward)
Adam Thompson (defender)
Jack Warburton (midfielder)
Many of the above have already appeared for the Hornets in the Academy Premier League and this experience will hopefully pay off once the season gets underway.
All of the above, apart from 'keeper Bond, are students at The Harefield Academy, the Hornets' ground-breaking link-up with the stat-of-the-art establishment in Middlesex.
Stayed tuned to www.watfordfc.com to hear more from Academy boss Mark Warburton about the next intake of scholars and their pre-season plans.
LET WATFORD BE THE PERFECT HOST
