WATFORD have completed the loan signing of Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, meaning the youngster will complete the Championship season with the Hornets.
After a highly successful first half of the season with Gianfranco Zola’s Hornets, the 18-year-old has today (Wednesday) finalized a deal to stay at Vicarage Road until the completion of the npower Championship season.
Chalobah has made 18 appearances for the Hornets to date, scoring two goals for the club.
Since arriving at Vicarage Road, Chalobah has impressed with his composure on the ball and added an England Under-21 cap to his list of achievements.
Speaking to watfordfc.com about the news, Zola was delighted to see the youngster commit to the club.
“It's great news for us. He has become an important player for us since he came to the club,” he said.
“His performances have been getting better and better so we are delighted that Chelsea have decided to leave him here.
“It's good for Nathaniel and it’s also good for Chelsea because he is getting a lot of benefit from this experience,” added the former Chelsea attacker.
“It is a huge boost because if we want to keep improving and chasing the teams in front of us we need to have good players and Nathaniel is one of them.”
