Club urging younger supporters to get involved with forthcoming Christmas Carol Concert at Vicarage Road

THE Hornets will be holding their annual Christmas Carol Concert, in conjunction with the Peace Hospice, immediately after the Nottingham Forest game on Saturday December 22 at Vicarage Road, and we are giving one lucky child the chance to be involved with this unique event.

We are asking all budding writers between the ages of eight and 15 years to come up with a short story on the theme of 'Christmas', you can be creative or traditional as you like but we would ask that you keep it under 500 words.

The winner will not only be presented with a prize on the night but they will also get to read their story out (or if you prefer we can get someone to read it on your behalf).

For anyone that has more of an artistic flare we are also asking you to send in any Christmas themed drawings - the winning picture will appear on the back of the Carol Concert programme and all other drawings will be shown on the giant screen during the course of the evening - all ages are welcome to take part in this competition.

Please email all entries to alex.ashby@watfordfc.com or post to Alex Ashby at the Watford FC address: Vicarage Road Stadium, Watford, Herts, WD18 OER and remember to include your name, age, address and contact number.

All stories/artwork must be received by Friday December 14 and the winner will be notified on Monday December 17.
