WATFORD youngsters Aaron Tumwa and Matt Bevans have joined local non league clubs on loan.
Tumwa has linked up with Wealdstone ahead of their home game with Carshalton Athletic today, he joins a long list of Hornets’ players over recent years to have gained experience with the Stones.
The defender will remain at Grosvenor Vale until December 22
Fellow defender Matt Bevans has moved to Chesham United on loan for 30-days, he’ll be looking to gain some competitive football after recovering from a knee ligament injury.
Matt Bevans spoke to watfordfc.com about his loan move and his hopes for the next month.
“I’m fit again and have been for a while now,” he explained.
“It will be good for me to go on loan, to get a good string of games in a month and hopefully I’ll be stronger and fitter when I finish.”
The defender will continue to train with the Hornets, alongside a few sessions with his Chesham United in the evenings, and he’s looking to add further game time after playing in some friendly games for Watford.
After such a long spell out he’s planning to make the most of it and get back that feeling of competitive football.
“The time out was hard; it was mentally tough but you get to a point where you know you’ve got to do it to have a career. I now feel stronger and fitter and I’m looking to play.”
